Winter 2024 Specimen Classes (virtual)

For an hour each week, we will draw a different winter specimen in pen. This will be done on a single large piece for the entire class. I will offer tips, troubleshoot, and then you will have a week to find and draw a similar specimen. Each class will be recorded to be reviewed for one week. Each class will be held on Tuesdays from 9:30-10:30 am Eastern on Zoom.
Supplies required will be on sheet of hot press paper 140 lb. (minimum size 8 x 11 inches, ideal size is 10 x 14) and a fine tip pen (Micron or Copic are recommended).
February 6th. Week 1 - curled or decaying leaf
February 13th. Week 2 - acorn or nut
February 20th. Week 3 - berries on a branch
February 27th. Week 4 - lichen on a branch
March 5th. Week 5 - milkweed pod
